Slum Demolition: Between Urban Development and the Marginalization of a Working-Class Population

"Cities Without Slums" initiative launched by King Mohammed VI. While the program aims to eliminate informal settlements and promote dignified living conditions, the analysis highlights structural challenges such as financial inaccessibility, social exclusion, lack of essential services, and legal insecurity. It argues that for urban development to be truly inclusive, public policies must prioritize the dignity of vulnerable populations through comprehensive support mechanisms, administrative reforms, and better-planned relocation zones.
